Sony Fallon Split

I read in CR and Campaign that Sony have moved their advertising account to Anomaly from Fallon, resulting in the split of one of the most successful advertising partnerships for a decade.
I always thought Fallon were one of, if not the best, ad agency in the world and for Sony to move their account is bad news for them and other ad agencies as it must make them feel what more can they do?

Anomaly are a strategic thinking company rather than a design/advertising agency and its said the split was not acrimonious and purely marketing strategies.

Fallon recently lost the ASDA account to Saatchi and Saatchi too, so maybe their crown is slipping? Regardless of this, the Ads they produced for Sony will, I think, go down as some of the best in television advertising history.

Apparently the brief they were given was short and sweet: show the world how great the colour is on a SONY tv!
